My niece and her boyfriend had a car reserved for September 1st. The car they reserved had a recall. Hertz did have another car for Carlos Botella. Hertz insisted upon cleaning the car. My niece and Carlos said, "It doesn't matter if it is clean. I just want to make it to my grandpa's funeral." Misty and Carlos finally made it AFTER the funeral service was over. I will never use this car rental company!
I booked a prepaid rental from this location to go home and visit family on leave. When I arrive they not only have my car that I reserved they also didn't apparently have the 250+ dollars used in the prebooking. They tried to charge me the full rate for a downgrade. After cancelling the rental the cooperate customer service was just as useless. I can honestly say I will never do business with this location or any other hertz location again.
Made a reservation, show up and the car I reserved is not available, they say another car is available so I say "fine, whatever, I'll take what I can get" but I had to wait over an hour to get that car. To be fair the staff was nice and understanding but clearly understaffed and overworked....the 1 star is not just from this single encounter it's from every encounter. I've NEVER received the car I reserved.
Their service was good. I got a great car and there was no disappointment. I will just advise that you may want to give them a reminder call a couple of days before pick up.
They are an airport location in a college town.
Hertz YOU SUCK! My niece was very upset and with legitimate reason. They made them pay full price for the rental car! This is just so wrong in so many ways!
While they will do all they can to help, if you don't plan ahead, you can find yourself without a car due to schedule with college, holidays and incoming flights. (Though most the time they have plenty)
