D&I has been a great company to work with! I've called on them to work on several houses for me and they've always been extremely responsive to my scheduling needs. Chris, Karen, and Ali have been great in explaining things and helping me get work done quickly!
Called D&I for home inspection and they had to come back to install cut-off valve which was fine. But the sheetrock they had to cut open never got put back and now leaking in pipes where they had done the work. Told co-worker about leaking pipes cause D&I does CRAPPY work and she told me that she had the same CRAPPY experience with them as renters not fixing the problem and the owner had to call someone else to come fix it after. It's so SAD to run a business like that, people putting trust in your business to do it right paying you and then the problems not fixed properly. Hope your business issues get fixed cause I wouldn't recommend your business anytime soon!!!
I have used D and I Repair for several years, but most recently for an air conditioning issue. The issue initially appeared to be severe and very costly, but when Chris, the owner, came to give me an estimate, he noticed that the plastic line was just pushed too far down into the pump, so the water wasn't able to pump out. He fixed it in 5 minutes and left without even charging me. He could have easily charged me $2000 and I'd have never known the difference. That kind of honesty and integrity is so refreshing to see these days! Scott does our regular maintenance and is wonderful as well. D and I always explains everything, gives estimates that are dead-on, are incredibly knowledgeable about SO many things and are a pleasure to work with. I've been in Manhattan for 20 years and have tried many other companies in the past, and D and I is, by far, the best experience I've ever had. I'd never use anyone else now!
Excellent company! Great service, great pricing, and all around good people to work with. Has done a new HVAC in commercial building, down to service calls. Highly recommend!
I was told by Ali(the receptionist) that it was $63 an hour for the plumber, which I was fine with. When the plumber gets to my home, he has an apprentice, for whom I have to pay $55 an hour. This made me real mad as when I have used them and other plumbers before, it is one flat fee, regardless of how many people are sent. I called them up to ask about the extra charge and I spoke with Karen, who is the owner's wife. She should never be left to answer the phone because she has no tact at all and she proceeded to tell me that of course it is $63 per person( like I was let to know that before they sent anyone out here). Anyways for a 15 minute job, they charged me $160. I used them because i had good luck with them once before, never again. I would recommend Bobs plumbing or Alternative Air before using these people again.
