Some of the women who work here are just rude and haven't a clue what they are talking about. I purchase my vehicles out of state with cash and haven't had any problems until today. I don't know who in the hell these women think they are but I'm pretty sure that signature analysis on a clean title is not part of their job. Customer service on the other hand should be paramount considering I'm giving them a great deal of money just for the right to drive my vehicle; which in the end is basically robbing me. In essence: The county employs you to take my money and hand me a license plate, not for your worthless opinions on what should cost how much and if a signature might not look like a printed name.

There are three waiting lines for different departments. The drivers license renewal currently has 12 people in line with an average of 2 hours wait. The other two lines for car titles and commerical vehicles has zero people in line and the people working those stations are not doing anything in-between customers. Maybe the staff could help the DL line to speed things up instead of only two people working while everyone else disappears or is walking around aimlessly. Wildly unorganized and incompetent staff who have given me false information and have terrible customer service.
Hey all! I was perusing the google-webs to find the hours for the (very nice) VIN verification guy and saw the reviews on this office are awful. For what it's worth, I have never had a bad experience here. I have called and/or walked into the County Treasurer for drivers license renewal car registration etc. at least a dozen times since I have lived in Manhattan. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. The automated system is a great move to increase productivity. The machine is right outside of the office and any questions that arise are answered promptly. If anybody really wants to complain, check out the California DMV. Hell on earth.
I see a bunch of negative reviews but have always had a great experience at this office. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I also think the QLess app is great for checking in and seeing wait times when I’m planning to go in.
The high speed wait time tracker is full of BS. I know. Let's take the most used service and only put one clerk on it. The director must have a degree in underwater basket weaving.
