They charged us for water which at every other restraunt in town it's free. Food was decent. It took forever to even pay for our food. We stood at the counter for a good 5 minutes or so.
Authentic mexican food that's priced reasonable and has more flavor than most. I've only had tacos, burritos and quesadillas so far, but haven't been disappointed with anything yet. My wife also likes their food and she's difficult to please.
I'm used to Mexican restaurants being fast unless they are busy. There was only 1 other table and our meal took over 30 minutes. Add in that they were out of Dr. Pepper and ALL deserts (I was trying to splurge on my sick kid) and it was a combination of disappointment. Will not return.
I understand everybody or even a establishment will have a bad day every once awhile but I'm sad to say the service I received today was way below par compared to how they usually do, hence why I gave 5 stars on bases of there collective overall service over a period of time, instead of just today's. Today, seemed like everything was watered down. The horchata was more like rice water than rice milk. The hot sauce just poured out of bottle like it was watered down, even after reshaking it. The service was horrible due to only having one waitress working, even then she was disorganized. I believe the cook delivered the food out, and she didn't know who it went to, she had to ask who ordered the food and I had to raise my hand. The tables are numbered, it would seem it would be to easy to mark my table number on my ticket People a few tables down from me received their food before they got their chips and salsa. They were out of the special. Another table had to repeatedly ask for a to-go box. When it was time for me to check out, I waited a good five minutes waiting till my waitress noticed I was ready. This is the only authentic Mexican restaurant I have found in Manhattan, KS. The food is delicious, there are good options for both carnivores and vegetarians, and prices are reasonable. My favorites are the huaraches; so good!
