I grew up with VERY red hair and the older I get, the more that fades. I went in looking to get a very natural copper color put in to match what my ends had going on. (Mind you, my hair always takes color up very weirdly, but come on...) Dallas attempted to match the color of my ends and I ended up leaving with a Ginger Spice color straight out of the 90's with blonde highlights. Was charged $174 and did not get anything near what I wanted.
Debbie does a great job on my tricky/crazy/curly hair. She really listens to customers and takes care of you so well. She even helped me figure out a cut and care that I could maintain without water/electricity before I left for Peace Corps. I also had a wonderful experience with Dallas. She knew exactly what I was looking for and gave me a great cut and steps toward healthier hair.
Luckily they let me come in the next day to try and get it fixed. Katie worked her hardest to get the color to fade, but unfortunately due to my weird hair nothing worked. Instead she added more highlights to try and break the color up. I will give Katie another shot down the line, because she was very confused why the treatments weren't working and she really seems to know what she's doing.
Erin Walsh is fantastic! I love how she did my hair! She took her time listening to me with what I wanted, and how I wanted my hair cut. I have LONG crazy hair, so I am not an easy client! She spent a long time washing my hair, gently combing out all the tangles and making sure the toner did its job. The color turned out fantastic, her balayage skills are AMAZING! It turned out looking so natural, which is exactly what I wanted. Also, the way she curls hair is so cool, and makes beautiful beach waves. Also, she gave me a little welcome package, with prodjct samples and coupons that she hand picked for me. I would highly recommend her! If I could add a photo, I would!
I have been going here for several years and think they are the best. They keep on top of the latest trends and products and give you a wide variety of choices and help to identify the best option tailored to your hair's special needs. My super fine color treated hair has gotten progressively stronger and healthier with each visit. The atmosphere is very upscale and you are well taken care of with complimentary beverages. I get conditioning treatments and a wonderful scalp massage with peppermint treatment. I can't say enough good things about the staff and services offered. I drive from Topeka to Manhattan just for the privilege of such wonderful pampering. Rachelle, you work wonders. If you have not tried them out, you are missing out.
Bought a Groupon, called a week in advance of the day that I was aiming for and was told that the next Saturday was booked out until July 1st. Then instead of listening to me, the receptionist starts rambling off all the "Mondays at 1pm" they have available. I have a job that requires travel and this would not work for me. The lady was not sympathetic to my situation at all, and was actually curt from the get go which progressed to rude when I told her that I wasn't available any of those days. Tried to schedule a late appointment, and when asked what kind of color I wanted I said a partial highlight which is clearly listed on the coupon. The receptionist lies to me, says that the coupon is only for a single process color which is dying hair one solid dark color. I say that it clearly says partial highlight on the coupon and she concedes but is obviously grumpy about it. About 15 minutes after scheduling my appointment, I realized that it just wasn't going to work and wasn't worth the 2 hour drive back. I understand being booked out on Saturdays, but the receptionist should have at least been polite about the situation and should probably know what coupons are out there, or not lie to people about what their coupons are worth. Additionally, when I called back and had to cancel and mentioned that I wasn't going to be able to use the coupon I had bought, she laughed. She literally laughed at my misfortune. That's pretty inconsiderate. I have no idea what the artists are like, but the customer service is not good.
