Apryl did a beautiful job with my cut and color and I am SO happy with the result of my balayage. It is natural-looking and she was able to keep much of the length of my hair and did not take too much off— which happens quite a bit to me at other salons. Best shampoo I've ever had, and the way she styled my hair was so beautiful. I recommend Platinum and Co to everyone.
Platinum and Co is a good place to #treatyoself which means it was the wrong place for me.
And I have an appointment for 12 weeks from now that I want to cancel (I gave it a few days to test the hair). The hair is cute. It's a good cut, but this is not a lazy person's cut, and I'll probably shame-facedly call my other person to see if she can fit me in for cropping this down to a pixie cut, and then she'll let me get away with not seeing her again for 4-6 months because she gets me.
Colten did an amazing job! My hair was a wreck from a previous bad dye job and he was able to work with that and give me exactly what I asked for.

I have numerous friends that love this place -- and they do a fantastic job for my friends. Really great work. My friends look amazing. I suspected that this place wasn't the right fit for me because it's a nice salon, and I am suuuuuper lazy. As in, I hate to use product or spend money on it. I also just hate to do my hair. I want a cut that I don't have to style--wash and go. I have a stylist I like okay, but she moved across town, and while she gets me, I am really that lazy that I would prefer to get my hair done somewhere between work and home. Platinum and Co met that requirement, and my friends really do look great.
The person who did my hair (Megan?) asked right off the bat about my hair routine, so I felt much better, and I was honest about how lazy I am. I also showed her a picture, which she barely glanced at, but it was a basic angled bob, so I wasn't that worried. She even asked if I liked it angled. I said yes.
But from there it was a million products and a million questions that I honestly didn't know the answer to. I was overwhelmed, and I didn't self advocate well. BUT I do think we opened with a clear conversation about how little I want to do with my hair, and I left with a haircut that I have to do something with--like blow dry and flat iron---ugh. I just want to wash and go so that my free time is spent with my dogs or reading a book. There also isn't much angle to speak of, and again, I should have commented on that when she asked for feedback, but I was overwhelmed, I didn't quite like how thin the longest layers looked, so I asked her to go shorter---that was the wrong request--I should have just explained what I didn't like about it. That's on me.
I had Autumn cut my hair and I love it. She is amazing and her customer service skills are awesome. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. I can't wait to go back. I love this place and will recommend it to everyone!!!
