I am in the middle of a project right now, and I am very excited with how it is going to turn out. That being said, I really wanted to walk in...drop off my idea, pay a fee, and have them design it. After we'd been working on it for awhile I found out that for larger companies this is an option (I am doing an larger order). For college kids, this is a fun hour long project, but I am a momma with 3.5 kids. I want to patronize local Manhattan businesses, and hope that in the future, THREAD find a way to offer custom t-shirt design consultations, where the client doesn't have to stay for 1.5 hours. Again...the final design is going to be AWESOME, but I would have been happy to pay for design service to help me check off something on my to do list a bit more quickly and without needing to have someone else watch my kids while I was in the store.
I purchased a shirt there, it was just more of an instinct buy. When i got home I decided i wanted to go return my shirt, i tried to find my receipt once the back but the person forgot to put it in the bag i assume. So i head back there to return it that night and i get there and they are closing up i see. One of the workers was going to let me and but one of the workers at the register told him not to. How rude. So I come back in the morning to try and return it. The person at the register tells me, "All sales are final". I was never told this before I even bought it. I am very unpleased with the service that I had. The T-shirts are also very cheap cheap material and is probably worth $5 to make the shirt. I will never come back here.
Threads was less than helpful in creating/designing my shirt. The shirts there are cheaply made, even the more expensive ones. The designer I was with doesn't care how the shirt comes out. The text/design came out smaller and wasn't centered correctly than was projected on the program. All he could reply was "It's what you showed me" and he can't change it. Disappointed and going to try my luck elsewhere, most likely a Filipino sweat shop.
Came in a few months back to get a shirt made and Emma was amazingly helpful! She took lots of time to help get it right and did an outstanding job! Price was good, service was quick. I even ordered another shirt on the phone from out of state and it came out great. Will be back again!
The thing I've always loved about THREADS is that there are so many options in terms of t-shirt styles and materials to try and test right on site.
They helped me make custom shirts for my team. You can bring your own shirt or buy from them. They'll walk you through design on computer too if you don't have a logo, etc .
