They are one of very few places in Manhattan that take make appointments for oil changes if you are like me and do not like waiting in line for an oil change. They have been good in the past but this time they forgot to hook an intake line back up which made my check engine light come on half way to Topeka. I was able to get the code read at a parts store in Topeka and find and repair the problem but was not what I wanted to deal with on a Saturday afternoon.
I highly recommend Briggs in Manhattan. Just purchased my second vehicle from Michael Sanchez and both times have been a 10/10 experience. He is a down to earth guy and puts your needs first. He knows what he is talking about and will make the process smooth and simple. Also the finance team has been great both times. Worked with Glen on my paperwork and he actually made the worst part of the process enjoyable. I will continue going to Briggs and working with Michael
I have tried on two different occasions to make a purchase with either Briggs Nissan in Lawrence or Briggs Nissan in Manhattan. The issue was never price, convenience or credit. Briggs is the ONLY Nissan Dealer we have spoken with (spoke to six others in KC Metro and Wichita) who has said "we will happily Nissan Certify this vehicle for a price" - not a Briggs extended warranty, but an actual Nissan Certification. Briggs will probably say that the other dealers have this in their price already, but the cost comparison would argue differently. It's an inspection mainly, and Nissan will then allow the dealer to certify it. The service was great and communication was fine from the dealer, just disappointed in the business practice on the certification as it has a great impact on the finance rates and the overall security level of the purchase. Would be happy to do business with them if their first answer wasn't "for a price" -- very unsettling. UPDATE: just called Nissan HQ in USA, who informed me they may not have the ability to sell Certified cars and that they would gladly get me with someone who could...they had never heard of a dealer charging for a Nissan Certification either if the car was eligible!
My experience buying my first car here was hassle free. It went smooth and I got just what I was looking for. My only complaint is that the vehicle was on "E" when they handed it over to me. And the price they gave me was higher then the price advertised online.
I had the best car buying experience here. They worked with me for almost 2 weeks to get me an SUV. My previous vehicle was too small. Jordan McGillis went above and beyond to help me. He is the general manager. I felt he was helping me because of my need, not to just sell a car. He and Ty were great. They were always accessible to me. I couldn't have asked for a more caring accommodating staff. Thanks so much!
