I could not be happier that we have started taking my son here and will be enrolling our other son soon. The instructors at ATA truly care about the children they are teaching and today I was very moved when we were at testing and Mr. Hertzig went out in front of everyone, dress uniform and all, and helped a struggling student earn his next belt. There was no humiliation, and he would not let that boy go without help; so he walked right out there and did it with him so he could feel a little more comfortable in showing that he did know his combos. I have been nothing but proud to say that my son goes to Manhattan ATA, and will continue to go here. Mr. Auman has a great program and you can tell that the instructors don’t feel like they are going to work, but are excited to help others be as passionate about martial arts as they are! A big THANK YOU for the patience with young children and firm, but encouraging words that keep them moving towards their goals teaching them how to be responsible and respectful to themselves and others along the way!
I have had my son in class now for 2 months, and already see a difference. The instructors know how to work with kids very well. School has improved, and above all he continues to "act like a black belt". This has been something he has clinched in his fist tightly and has jumped into full force. But with out the great instructors the little minds will not learn. RESPECT SIR.
My children have been coming here for years and I recently started taking Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Krav Maga from them. We LOVE it here! The instructors are very friendly and knowledgable and work very hard to make sure their students succeed in reaching their goals. Mr. Auman, the owner, is extremely knowledgable and has decades of experience in martial arts and teaching. Plus, they are part of the American Taekwondo Association which has thousands of schools world wide so if you ever move, you can transfer to another school. A lot of other organizations can't offer that. My family loves coming here and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. I highly recommend checking out Manhattan ATA!
The owners and instructors at ATA truly care about their students. The training is excellent and has taught my son courtesy, respect, confidence and balance. My son has attended since age 5 and at age 14 is currently preparing for his third degree black belt. He has competed successfully in tournaments locally and in other states, in addition to training with Masters and the Grand Master. ATA is a fun and safe environment that works with my child!
I have been bringing my children here for almost a year and I can't say enough positive things! My kids LOVE the instructors and the classes. The environment is very positive and upbeat and everyone is so courteous and respectful. Mr. Auman teaches all of the younger kids (ages 4-6) and he has so much patience with them and is constantly praising their efforts. Absolutely THE BEST MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL IN MANHATTAN!
