These are the worst apartments to stay in while in Manhattan Kansas. If you are familiar with the ghetto you would doll have a hard time staying here. I stayed there for four years and I have never been around more unprofessional people in my life. I stated of paying 525 a month and my rent was at 590 when I finally left (no upgrades or anything). The pool is always dirty and most of the people that swim in it do not live at the complex. I left with a $900 bill for some odd reason. My car had more dings in the doors than an old man with wrinkles all because of the close parking spots. The management sucks. My sliding door broke and could not lock, they told me it was no emergency and I should wait till the office is open. All these five and four star ratings, even three stars are all LIES. DO NOT BE DECEIVED the management leaves ratings to keep their ratings above 3.0.
Yes, the place is old, the walls are thin, and the water temp changes some when I take a shower... But this place is great! The ladies in the office are kind, down-to-earth, and helpful. The maintenance guys are also kind and on top of things as soon as you need it, 24/7. It's a nice, safe environment for our kids. And these are the least expensive apartments in Manhattan.
My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost a year. It will be a year in August. Our experience here has been nothing but pleasant. Management is nice and helpful. Of course seeing as we are college kids we do not have the money to live in expensive apartments so seeing how we split rent and so it is only $250 each it is nice. They are also pet friendly which is wonderful. Now seeing as they are not the most expensive apartments some people find them to be poor quality but I do not think so. My top complaint of a very short list is that if you have loud neighbors you can definitely hear them through the walls but I knew that just from knowing that the walls in most apartments are thin in any location, not just this one. I do recommend living here if you are on a low budget because rent is fairly cheap, it is in a nice location (close to things), pet friendly, and also besides rent there is only 2 bills the tenant has to pay monthly which is nice.
It is an amazing place to stay!!! My dad had lived there for over 5 years and I go down every summer. Definitely recommend
it's good or bad depending on the day. No washer or dryer in apartment, i do 3 to 5 loads of laundry a week. having to carry them downstairs and to another building to do them is hard on the back. the laundry facility is cheaper then going to a laundry matt. no dishwasher. after doing dishes for 20 years, 33 years old. it gets ridiculous and i pray for a dishwasher, washer and dryer in the next apartment i live in. The water pressure isn't good in the shower, and the two bedroom bathrooms are cramped. it's quiet at times,, and rowdy at times as is any place you live. not being able to smoke in the apartments is a nuesence. there are days i would like to relax in my pajamas, and i feel i have to get dressed to have a cigerette. including the guaking from people you would sometimes like to ignore and have peace in your home, because their was an agenda against smokers at a point.
