First time visit there with a new puppy (Old English Sheepdog) and the staff were friendly and prompt. Dr. Lyons was very informative and provided a lot of information regarding my breed and health concerns I should be aware of. Will be taking both my dogs back from now on.
We are from Georgia visiting our son at Kansas State for the week. We got a new puppy in Kansas and Dr. Lyon’s and Ms. Nancy were so gracious to us. Fit us in today, and took wonderful care of Bishop. They were so kind, informative, and thorough, even though we will be living in Georgia with the puppy. Thank you!!
This vet is great. The prices are reasonable. In fact the prices here always seem to be lower when talking to other pet owners about what they spend elsewhere. Don't let the cheaper prices dissuade you from this Vet. He is very knowledgeable and will take all the time he needs to spend time with you and your pet. He also doesn't try to push unnecessary medications or procedures. Everyone at the front desk and Nancy are amazing. They answer my questions every time I call. And if they don't know the answer they go find the Vet and ask him.
I recently had to move from Manhattan. I hate finding a new dentist and doctor but worse than that I really hate thing to find a new veterinarian. My family has been taking our pets to Dr. Lyons for more than 8 years. Dr. Lyons and his staff are the BEST I have found anywhere! They take time to talk to you and help through all kinds of problems both medical and with some behavior issues. They always take the time to listen and I appreciate them SO much. Dr. Lyons truly cares about what he does. I will miss my friends in Manhattan but even MORE than them I will miss the care of concern of DR. LYONS and his crew!!!!! Thanks to you all for always taking care of us!! You are the BEST!
Just thinking of the vet makes me mad. They were great when we got our 8 week old standard poodle, making sure she got all the necessary vaccines and what not. However for 2 months our girl was not gaining weight and had diarrhea issues. I understand giving advice to decrease food intake by 95% for a day, but thwir vet techs and main vet suggested it for weeks. I continually called and said I was concerned that this was not the right amount of food. They didn't take the time to care about my girl and really think ab ok ut what was wrong. We are now at a different vet, the issue is solved and they did EVERYTHING they could to figure out what was wrong, unlike candlewood. My girl will now not be her healthy weight, ever, because this vet didn't care that she wasn't gaining any weight for 2 months of her important puppy life. I would never ever reccomend them. They are too much into old ways to realize that vet medicine is changing and growing, it's not what it use to be. Don't even bother taking your animals here.
