I have been there three times now for different things and always leave with a bill of at least 500.00. Everytime they insist on x-rays and blood work no matter what the issue is so be prepared to hand over a lot of cash. After x-rays and bloodwork they still could not identify the problem, so that was a bit irritating. The staff is pretty nice and professional and facility is kept clean.
K-state save my dog's life after he got hit by a car. I wouldn't take my dog any where else except k-state
If it could be rated lower it would be. My wife took our St. Bernard puppy in to be checked out because our groomer had said that he was sick. She had to pay $125 just for walking in the door. There was no power so they took my wife and stuck her in one of the backrooms where she waited... for 3 hours while no one would give her any information as to what was going on. Finally she decided to leave went up to the desk to get her money back as this Vet HADN'T performed any type of service AT ALL. But they told her no as the fee was non refundable. You must be joking. She had to pay $125 just wait in a dark room for 3 hours. Never take your animals here. The staff is a joke and I highly doubt they could accurately treat a dog that has a cold. Some "training" hospital this is. More like training them in the fine art of fraud.
They let me say my goodbyes and come and go as I needed for fresh air. They took clay paw prints for me. I was so distraught I wish I had something with the two ladies names on it. They were so kind in reassuring me that it was nothing I did that it was a freak phenomenon for my poor baby.
I took my Syrian Hamster in yesterday for an extremely bloated belly. The prognosis was grim. Snuggles had to be euthanized. They were honest with me and helped me through making the decision to euthanize him. Even in the state I was in (bawling my eyes out) they answered all my questions.
Such a major disappointment! Took my dog there for a second opinion. To be fair, the intern that spearheaded our visit was fantastic. Other than that, they were going to do a single x-ray and an abdominal ultrasound. My dog sat in a back room cage for FIVE hours before they got to her. After it was completed, I went to pick her up and the building doors were locked, and office closed! I didn't know how to get inside to get my dog. Had to find a security guard, who then told me how to get inside to another area for checkout. The obnoxious guy behind the counter kept trying to make fun of how upset I was. I had to tell him to quit while he was ahead. This school is overrated, and I ended up not getting any real second opinion; just a huge bill for wasted time that could've been spent in my hometown.
They were kind and compassionate towards me and Snuggles. They made the whole ordeal a little easier for me. They even set it up where I didn't have to pay for it that day they let me go home and try and heal from this heartbreak.
